Clay stabilizer ZX-OF-08 is a new type of chloride-free small cationic clay stabilizers, which has a high cationic charge density and is able to effectively adsorb on the surface of clay particles, so as to prevent the hydration, swelling and dispersion and migration of water-sensitive minerals from damaging the hydrocarbon reservoir.
Clay stabilizer ZX-OF-08 is an oilfield chemical agent composed of organic cationic polymers and additives. It adsorbs onto the surface of clay through intermolecular forces and hydrogen bonds, effectively inhibiting the hydration expansion and dispersion migration of clay minerals. Its anti-swelling rate generally exceeds 85%, and its density is greater than 1.10g/cm³ at 20℃. It has a wide range of acid and alkali adaptability (pH 6.0-8.0). The product is suitable for scenarios such as water injection development, fracturing acidification, and perforating fluid preparation. It has achieved remarkable application effects in low-permeability water-sensitive oil and gas fields like Xinjiang and Qinghai.

Application
Using instruction
＊ Use at the concentration of 0.25% - 0.50%, based on the clay content of stratum;
＊ Add to the working fluid and circulating uniformly.
The product features
(1) Resistant to high temperature up to above 300°C;
(2) Good anti-swelling effect, with the anti-swelling rate higher than 88%;
(3) Washable, resistant to erosion of acidizing fluid, salt fluid, alkaline liquor and oil water, and durable;
(4) Chlorine-free, and completely consistent with the oilfield environmental requirements;
(5) Well compatible with slick water drag reducer;
(6) Widely used for applications such as guar gum fracturing fluid, slick water, active water, perforating fluid, drilling fluid, acidizing fluid and other working fluids, water injection and thermal recovery by steam injection.
Storage
Clay stabilizer ZX-OF-08 should be stored in a cool and dry place to prevent the rupture inside and outside of the packaging.

Safety and handling
Clay stabilizer ZX-OF-08 is only meant to be used technically. Stay away from touching people. Put on safety goggles and gloves. If something gets on your skin, wash it off right away with lots of water and soap. Rinse the affected eye thoroughly with water if splashed in. Avoid contact with open flames and sparks. Don't light up.
