Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA (referred to as DRA) is designed to increase flow rate or to reduce energy consumption (pressure drop) in crude oil pipelines by dampening the turbulent bursts.
This product can be described as an ultra-high molecular weight polyalphaolefin suspended in a non-aqueous base.
Pipeline throughput can instantly be increased, or pumping energy consumption (pressure drop) can instantly be reduced by as much as 40% / 50% depending on pipeline and crude conditions by adding a ppm (parts per million) level of Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA into crude.

Application
Using instruction
Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA is a non-aqueous based suspension product and thermally universal, allowing for use all areas with a wide ambient temperature ranging from -30 to +55 ℃.
Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA eliminates the concerns about the ambient temperature, and allows customers to concentrate on pipeline operation and the performance of Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA.
Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA is usually injected into a pipeline just at the discharge side of the boosting pump. Drag reduction begins as soon as DRA starts to dissolve in the oil. When dissolved Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA product passes through a boosting pump the polymer is broken down or worn out by pump shearing. Consequently, a multi-station pipeline may need DRA injection points after each boosting pump station in order to achieve overall throughput increase.
Storage
Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA will be stable and keep its potency for 2 years if stored in ventilated, dry place with temperature range from -10℃ to + 45℃ in the tightly sealed container.

Safety and handling
When handling Crude oil Drag Reducing Agent ZX-OF-09/DRA, protective gloves and work clothes should still be worn despite the fact that DRA product is less irritating or hazardous than other chemicals,
