Cetane number improver ZX-RF-03 is an oil-soluble high-efficient cetane number improver with the composition of 2-ethylhexyl nitrate, which is used to improve the ignition performance of diesel fuel. The higher the cetane number of diesel fuel, the shorter the ignition delay period. The length of the ignition delay period has a decisive impact on the working performance of the engine. When the ignition delay period is longer, the engine will work rough and even knock the cylinder during use, that is, knock.
The reaction process is: during the compression and combustion stroke of the engine, the additive is thermally decomposed into chain reaction initiator, followed by chain reaction, oxidation reaction and decomposition reaction at high temperature. Cetane number improver has low decomposition activation energy and is easy to break at O-O/0-N. The addition of the improver reduces the activation energy of the natural process of fuel to the activation energy of additive decomposition, thus significantly reducing the temperature at which the oxidation reaction begins.

Storage
Cetane number improver ZX-RF-03 is an easy to operate additive with high flash point, but relatively low self-ignition temperature. The storage and operation temperature should be between 30 ℃ and 40 ℃ . The operation and transportation temperature should not exceed 60℃.
Cetane number improver ZX-RF-03 is also a self-reactive substance, which can conduct its own exothermic decomposition reaction under specific parameter conditions. In areas with high temperature, the storage facilities shall be properly equipped with cooling/heat insulation measures, and shall not be stored in heat source areas such as heat tracing and steam release. Keep away from heat and ignition sources during dosing operation. It is strictly prohibited to use it by heating. It will cause combustion and explosion in case of open fire and high heat, and there is also a risk of combustion and explosion in case of impact, friction and vibration. When the temperature reaches 100℃, it will accelerate the automatic decomposition, which may cause danger, and special attention should be paid. Especially for the storage tank with heat tracing equipment in winter, it is absolutely forbidden to start heat tracing, and the storage tank with steam pipe head in the tank is also absolutely forbidden.
Cetane number improver ZX-RF-03 is preferably stored in stainless steel containers, and low-carbon steel containers can also be used, but the water at the bottom of the tank should be drained regularly. Not applicable to galvanized steel, copper and copper alloy materials. Special attention should be paid to ensure that there is no copper alloy (such as brass or bronze) when selecting equipment such as pumps and valves, because bearings or other internal components may contact the product.
Cetane number improver ZX-RF-03 is an excellent solvent. Relatively low-grade sealing rings and gaskets should be selected, such as Teflon and fluor rubber seals. Avoid using natural or artificial rubber sealing rings and gaskets.
