General information
Organic silicone defoamer ZX-XP-02 is a chemical additive composed mainly of polydimethylsiloxane (silicone oil), along with emulsifiers, dispersants and other auxiliary materials. It is mainly used to eliminate or inhibit the formation of foam in liquid systems in industrial production and daily life. Due to its extremely low surface tension and chemical inertness, it can quickly break the foam membrane and is widely applied in fields such as wastewater treatment, textile printing and dyeing, food processing and petrochemicals.
Composition
The main component of the organic silicon defoamer is a linear poly siloxane that remains in a liquid state at room temperature.

Application
Site Application
This series of products is mainly used for gas well demulsification. They belong to organic silicon type demulsifiers and have the advantages of low dosage, fast demulsification speed, excellent anti-foaming performance, convenient use and safety without corrosion.
The addition of Organic silicone defoamer ZX-XP-02 can alter the stability of the gas-liquid interface and reduce the surface tension of the liquid. It has the advantages of good solubility and dispersion, fast liquid surface spreading, excellent defoaming performance, convenient on-site application, and no pollution or environmental hazards.
Usage Method
The Organic Silica defoamer ZX-XP-02 has below advantages:
(1) Wide application range: Due to the special chemical structure of silicone oil, it does not dissolve in water or substances containing polar groups, nor does it dissolve in hydrocarbons or organic compounds containing hydrocarbon groups. Due to the insolubility of silicone oil in various substances, its application range is wide. It can be used both in water-based systems for defoaming and in oil-based systems.
(2) Low surface tension: The surface tension of silicone oil is generally 20-21 dynes/cm, which is smaller than that of water (72 dynes/cm) and most foaming liquids. Therefore, it has good defoaming performance.
(3) Good thermal stability: Taking the commonly used dimethyl silicone oil as an example, it can withstand 150°C for a long time and 300°C or above for a short period. Its Si-O bonds do not decompose. This ensures that the organic silicone defoamer can be used in a wide temperature range.
(4) Good chemical stability: Due to the relatively stable Si-O bond, silicone oil has high chemical stability and is unlikely to react with other substances. Therefore, as long as the formulation is reasonable, the organic silicone defoamer can be used in systems containing acids, bases, and salts.
(5) Physiological inertness: Silicone oil has been proven to be non-toxic to humans and animals, with a lethal dose greater than 34 grams per kilogram. Therefore, the organic silicone defoamer (when properly combined with non-toxic emulsifiers, etc.) can be safely used in industries such as food, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
(6) Strong defoaming ability: Organic silicone defoamers not only effectively break the formed foam but also significantly inhibit the formation of foam. Its dosage is very small, only 1 part per million (1 ppm) of the weight of the foaming medium, which can produce defoaming effects. Its common usage range is 1 to 100 ppm. Not only is the cost low, but it also does not contaminate the defoamed substances.
Package and storage
1.This product is non-toxic and non-flammable or explosive.
2.Store it in a cool, sheltered place and keep it sealed.
3.Common packaging sizes include 1kg, 25kg, 200kg, and 1000kg, and it is packaged in plastic drums or iron drums.
4.The shelf life is 12 months (or one year), and there is no obvious stratification.
5.Storing beyond the best-before date indicated on the label does not mean the product cannot be used any longer.
6.However, in such cases, the quality of the product must be ensured, and the relevant properties of the product need to be rechecked.
7.During transportation, the container must be sealed properly, be protected from moisture, and avoid the mixing of strong acids, strong alkalis, and impurities such as rainwater.
