General information

 

Iron ion stabilizers ZX-OF-02 are mainly composed of organic complexing agents and reducing agents, combined with other components. Adding iron ion stabilizers to the acid solution can effectively complex free iron ions, preventing the formation of ferric hydroxide precipitates in the formation due to the increase in PH value of residual liquid clusters, which could cause formation blockage and damage. It can complex Fe+3, Fe+2 and Ba+2 under conditions with a PH value as high as 9.5. High-temperature resistant iron ion stabilizer ZX-OF-02 has excellent heat resistance, with a maximum operating temperature of up to 160℃. It has strong stability for Fe+3 and is an ideal additive for acidizing and protecting oil layers in oil fields.

Iron ion stabilizers ZX-OF-02 are industrial products mainly used in acidification operations of oil and gas Wells. Their core function is to prevent Fe³⁺ precipitation from causing damage to the formation through the triple effects of complexation, reduction and dispersion. This product appears as a yellow transparent liquid (some models are colorless to clear yellow), and its main components include iron chelating agents and reducing agents. Technical indicators include a pH value of 3.0-6.0, a stable iron ion capacity of ≥50g/L, and the ability to maintain a stability of ≥45g/L even in a high-temperature environment of 120℃.

 

Iron ion stabilizer ZX-OF-02 is a critical additive used in acidizing fluids to control iron precipitation caused by Fe²⁺ oxidation into Fe³⁺.

Site Application

The recommended addition amount in acidification operations is 0.5%-1.0% of the total acid solution. For formations with iron ore content exceeding the conventional value, it can be increased to 1.0%-2.0%. It has good compatibility with commonly used acid liquid additives.

 

Storage

ZX-OF-02 will be stable and keep its potency for 2 years if stored in ventilated, dry place with temperature range -10C ~ + 35C in the tightly sealed container.

When handling ZX-OF-02, protective gloves and protective work clothing should be worn though DRA product is less harmful or irritable than the other chemicals.

 

Packing

It is packed in plastic drums. The standard specifications are 25kg per drum and 200kg per drum.

It should be kept away from direct sunlight and the storage environment temperature should be below 35℃.

If it comes into contact with the skin, rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if it comes into contact with the eyes.

 

Safety and handling

Iron Ion Stabilizer ZX-OF-02 is intended for technical use only. Avoid physical contact. Use gloves and goggles for protection. During transport in road tankers the product is heated to temperatures up to 60 and may cause burns if spilled on the skin. Material spilled on the skin should be washed off with soap and plenty of water. If splashed in the eye rinse with copious quantities of Water.

Keep containers closed when not in use. Avoid contact with water. Keep away from sparks and open flame. Do not smoke. Empty containers may hold gases that form explosive mixtures with air.
