General

 

The Beyond ZX-C2-09 H2S and C2O Corrosion inhibitor is a liquid, organic, film-forming corrosion inhibitor that is oil soluble with good water dispersibility. It is most effective against H2S and C2O corrosion and mixtures of the two. This product's components make it more tolerant of trace oxygen (air) effects than more inhibitors, but it should not be considered an oxygen inhibitor.

 

This corrosion inhibitor is superior to normal corrosion inhibitors when used in systems experiencing failure caused by cracking. Cracks may be started by corrosion pits, wear spots, mechanically damaged spots such as bends or nicks, or improper joint makeup. Cracks grow through the steel because of a combination of alternating stress, corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement. ZX-C2-09 H2S and C2O Corrosion inhibitor slows down crack growth for extended rod life. ZX-C2-09 H2S and C2O Corrosion inhibitor is formulated for producing wells, but can be used in gas pipelines, gas transmission lines and drilling systems.

Application method

 

ZX-C2-09 H2S and C2O Corrosion inhibitor can be applied by batch, circulate and park, squeeze, or continuous treatment. In batch treatment, the recommended dosage rate is 17-30 ppm based on fluid production. The typical dosage for continuous treatment of these systems would be 10-15 ppm. However, it should be noted that extremely corrosive environments have required 3000ppm be applied in a continuous manner based on the
brine flow rate.
