Flow improver concentrate middle distillates ZX-P3-12-1 is a polymer composition in higher boiling hydrocarbons. It is intended for improving the cold flow properties of middle distillate. Both the CFPP and pour point of diesel and light heating oils can be considerably reduced. The product also improves paraffin wax crystal dispersancy in middle distillates when stored below the cloud point. This is achieved by a further reduction in crystal size and prevention of was agglomeration, which in most cases allows the diesel to be stored for several days below cloud point without significant sedimentation.

Field of Application

Flow improver concentrate middle distillates ZX-P3-12 is specifically designed for use in premium winter diesel. Because of its broad spectrum of activity, it is effective in a wide range of oils including middle distillates having a narrow boiling range and a short tail, in wider range distillates with an FBP below 375℃, and in arctic type distillates where the FBP is below 230℃ (ASTM D 86 Distillation). Good paraffin wax crystal dispersancy in diesel and light heating oils allows their prolonged storage below cloud point without significant wax sedimentation.

 

Flow improver concentrate middle distillates ZX-P3-12 is a flow improver concentrate and meant to be diluted prior dosing into middle distillates. Suitable solvent such as solvent naphtha may be used in blend ration of 2:1 and higher.

 

Dosage Rate

According to the characteristics of the particular middle distillate and dilution factor of the product, 100-500ppm of the diluted product is usually sufficient to achieve the desired CFPP and/or Pour Point response. Higher dosage rates up to 1000ppm may also be used while observing the recommended blending conditions.

 

Blending temperature

Flow improver concentrate middle distillates ZX-P3-12 concentrated should be dosed diluted as gas oil temperatures down to approximately 30℃ depending on the characteristics of the gas oil into which it is doped. The additive temperature at the injection point should not be below 40℃. At lower temperatures, a further dilution is recommended. The middle distillate should be at least 10℃ above its cloud point at the time of additive injection.

 

Storage

A temperature of 60℃ (100-125℉)is recommended for storing the product. In closed containers Flow improver concentrate middle distillates ZX-P3-12 concentrate may be stored for at least two years.

Important: On bringing a tank back into service after prolonged storage at lower temperatures, the additive should first be heated and homogenized before use.

 

Packaging

The product is delivered in a Heated road tanker/tank container or 200L steel drums, or per clients' requests.

 

Safety and handling

The product is intended for technical use only. Avoid physical contact. Use gloves and goggles for protection. During transportation in road tankers the product is heated to temperatures up to 80℃ (175℉) may cause burns if spilled on the skin. Materials spilled on the skin should be washed off with soap and plenty of water. If splashed in the eye rinse with copious quantities of water. Keep containers closed when not in use. Avoid contact with water. Keep away from sparks and open flame. Do not smoke. Empty containers may hold gases that form explosive mixtures with air.
