Diesel pour point depressant, also known as diesel low-temperature fluidity improver or diesel anti-wax sedimentation agent, is a commonly used additive in diesel production. Diesel pour point depressants play an obvious role in increasing diesel production in oil refineries, enhancing production flexibility and the ratio of diesel to gasoline, and improving economic benefits. For the storage, transportation and users of diesel, the application of pour point depressants ZX-P1-03 can significantly improve its low-temperature performance.
Diesel solidifies at lower temperatures because it contains a certain amount of wax (i.e., normal alkanes). When the temperature drops, these waxes gradually precipitate and form wax crystals. As the temperature drops further, the wax crystals will grow rapidly, first forming planar crystals. These crystals are interconnected to form a three-dimensional network structure, enclosing the oil within it and causing the oil to lose its fluidity and solidify.
ZX-P1-03 Diesel pour point depressants are mainly used to lower parameters such as the cold filter point and freezing point of diesel, thereby ensuring the normal use of diesel in winter. The active ingredient of this product is an EVA modified substance. Its molecule contains an alkyl chain with polar groups similar in structure to paraffin alkanes. Thus, it can change the crystalline state of paraffin in diesel through nucleation, adsorption, eutectic and solubility effects, making it less likely to form a spatial network structure and showing a macroscopic reduction in the freezing point and cold filter point of diesel.

Application
ZX-P1-03 Diesel Pour Point Depressant is specially formulated to improve the flow properties of diesel fuel in cold weather, ensuring smooth operation in low temperatures. It effectively prevents wax formation and reduces fuel viscosity, making it ideal for use in winter conditions or areas with extreme cold temperatures.
Effective in temperatures as low as -20°C. Contains proprietary cold flow improving agents that prevent wax crystallization and ensure fluidity in diesel fuel. Compatible with all types of diesel, including biodiesel.
We use ZX-P1-03 in our diesel fleet, and it's been a game-changer for operations during winter months. It prevents flow issues and keeps fuel flowing smoothly even in temperatures well below freezing.
ZX-P1-03 This series of products are mainly used to reduce parameters such as the cold filter point and freezing point of diesel. The product should be designed in accordance with the requirements of the scheme. It is recommended that the dosage be between 500 and 2000ppm.
Refinery refueling plan
1. Add the preparatory work in advance
Due to the high viscosity and paste form of this product in winter, it is necessary to prepare dedicated filling equipment and processes.
The equipment to be prepared: one 10-20 cubic meter storage tank, one heating room for steam heating (capable of heating 6-10 barrels of products at a time is sufficient; if there is a dedicated greenhouse, it can be omitted), and one metering pump (the range should be selected based on the addition volume). The processes to be prepared: low-pressure steam process heating (introduced to the bottom of the heating room and blown upwards), pneumatic stirring process (instrument air is introduced to the lower part of the storage tank, distributed diagonally, and automatically forms a vortex), dosing process (the dosing point should be selected at the inlet of the external pump after diesel hydrogenation, and the oil temperature is preferably 40-60℃).
2.Note the precautions
1.Before refueling, the dosage per unit time should be calculated based on the diesel production (calculated at a refueling amount of 1000 PPM, that is, 1000 tons of diesel plus 1 ton of diesel pour point depressant).
2.Inject 10 to 15 times the amount of diesel pour point depressant into the storage tank with device diesel (the oil temperature is preferably between 40 and 60℃), and start the air-driven stirring
3.Heat the diesel pour point depressant in the heating chamber until it has good fluidity, then pump it into the storage tank, adjust the range of the metering pump, and inject it into the diesel pipeline while stirring and metering (it would be even better if there is a static mixer on the pipeline)
4.Wait until all the tanks are used up before preparing the next one. Water must not be mixed in throughout the process
Oil blending and end-user refueling plans
1.Take oil samples for experiments and select the addition ratio that suits you
2.Take the oil to be added and mix it with the pour point depressant in a ratio of 3 to 1. It is recommended that the oil temperature be between 20 and 70 degrees
3.After the mutual solubility is completed, slowly inject the solvent into the well-blended finished oil and start the air pump to stir for half an hour at the same time
