General information

 

Flow improving agent ZX-P3-10 is intended for improving the cold flow properties of middle distillates. Both the CFPP and pour point of diesel and light heating oils can be considerably reduced.

This Diesel Cold Flow Improver for Middle Distillates ZX-P3-10 is designed to improve the low-temperature operability of diesel and middle distillates in cold weather conditions. It effectively prevents fuel gelling and ensures smooth flow, minimizing downtime in equipment and maximizing fuel efficiency. This product is suitable for use in both refinery processes and winterizing diesel fuels for colder climates.

Application

 

Field of Application

Flow improving agent ZX-P3-10 is suitable for both summer and winter oils. It is particularly intended for middle distillates having a narrow boiling range characterised by a (90-20%)-△T value of 70-100℃ and a (FBP-90%)-△T of 17-25℃, and in wider distillates where the (90-20%-△T value is 100-120℃ and the FBP is below 380℃ (ASTM D 86).

 

In laboratory tests, our flow improver has demonstrated up to a 30% improvement in low-temperature fluidity, ensuring smooth fuel operation at temperatures as low as -15°C.

 

Ideal for use in diesel fuel systems, middle distillates, and winter fuel preparations. This flow improver is highly effective in colder climates and helps prevent fuel gelling in diesel engines, fuel tanks, and pipelines.

 

A leading European refinery reported a 25% reduction in fuel system maintenance after implementing our flow improver for middle distillates in their diesel supply chain during winter.

 

Unlike traditional flow improvers, our product is specially formulated to withstand lower temperatures, providing up to 40% longer-lasting protection against fuel gelling, reducing the need for frequent treatment and improving engine reliability in harsh climates.

 

Blending Temperature

Flow improving agent ZX-P3-10 can be dosed undiluted at gas oil temperatures down to around 35℃. At lower temperatures a dilution with naphtha or kerosene (ratio 1:1 to 1:3) is recommended. The middle distillate should be at least 10℃ above its cloud point at the time of additive injection.

 

Dosage Rate

According to the characteristics of the particular middle distillate 25-400ppm is usually sufficient to achieve the desired CFPP/PP response. Higher dosages up to 1000ppm may also be used while observing the recommended blending conditions. The dosage rates required are very dependant on the characteristics of the middle distillate to be treated.

 

Storage

A temperature of 40-50℃ (100-125℉)is recommended for storing the product. In closed containers Flow improving agent ZX-P3-10 may be stored practically indefinitely. After prolonged storage at lower temperatures the product should be homogenized before use.

 

Packaging

Heated road tanker/tank container or 200L steel drums, or per clients' requests.

 

Safety and handling

The product is intended for technical use only. Avoid physical contact. Use gloves and goggles for protection. During transportation in road tankers the product is heated to temperatures up to 60℃ (140℉) may cause burns if spilled on the skin. Materials spilled on the skin should be washed off with soap and plently of water. If splashed in the eye rinse with copious quantities of water.

Keep containers closed when not in use. Avoid contact with water. Keep away from sparks and open flame. Do not smoke. Empty containers may hold gases that form explosive mixtures with air.
