General Description

 

The core principle of the gas well foam drainage agent ZX-DP-01 (i.e., foam drainage agent for gas production) is to reduce the surface tension of the accumulated liquid at the bottom of the well through surfactants. Under the agitation of the natural gas flow, a large amount of low-density water-containing foam is generated, thereby reducing the density of the gas-liquid mixture, minimizing slippage losses, enhancing the gas flow's liquid-carrying capacity, and lifting the accumulated liquid in the wellbore to the surface, restoring or maintaining the production capacity of the gas well.

 

This series of products is specially developed to address the problem of difficult foam drainage in natural gas wells. The products dissolve rapidly upon contact with water, generating a large amount of foam. The foam is stable and has a high water content, which can significantly enhance the gas's liquid-carrying capacity and reduce liquid accumulation in the wellbore. They possess the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high resistance to condensate oil, high resistance to methanol, and high resistance to mineralization. They also have good compatibility with other downhole agents.

Application

 

This series of products is mainly used in natural gas wells to reduce liquid accumulation in the wellbore and solve the problem of difficult foam drainage in gas wells. The product should be used in accordance with the design requirements of the scheme and the on-site process flow. It is recommended that the dosage be between 1000 and 5000 ppm.

Mechanism of Action

 

Reducing surface tension: The foaming agent is a surfactant that adsorbs at the gas-liquid interface, enabling water to be dispersed into foam more easily by the airflow.

Forming stable foam: The foam is composed of gas separated by the liquid film. The surfactant forms an elastic membrane on the surface of the foam, delaying its rupture and maintaining the foam system.

Improving flow state and liquid-carrying capacity: The foam density is much lower than that of the liquid column, significantly reducing the average density of the fluid in the wellbore, reducing back pressure, and enhancing the gas-liquid lifting capacity.

Adapting to complex conditions: Modern foam drainage agents are often compounded with multiple components (such as AOS, LAB-35, CTAB, etc.) to enhance their performance in terms of temperature resistance (≤130℃), salt resistance, and anti-condensate oil.

 

Typical case (working site)

 

In a certain domestic gas field, the gas wells are deep, the gas layer temperature is high, and the content of condensate oil is also high. Therefore, extremely high requirements are imposed on the foaming performance and stabilizing performance of the foam drainage agent. The Deshi chemical product D-2004 is a foam drainage agent developed specifically for the difficulty in foam drainage in gas wells. This product has the characteristics of resisting high temperature, high condensate oil content, methanol, and high mineralization. The Deshi technicians used the formation water of this gas field as the experimental water and D-2004 as the experimental agent. Under the conditions of a temperature of 90℃ and a dosage of 3000 ppm, they tested its foaming ability, stabilizing ability, and liquid carrying capacity. The experimental results were recognized by the client and the supply is still ongoing at present.
