Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 is pour point depressant (PPD) consisting of an active polymer dissolved in an aromatic solvent. It is intended for improving the pour point of residue oils, such as vacuum gas oil (VGO) and heavy fuel oil (HFO) but will also lower the pour point of crude oil significantly.

If required, Pour point depressant for residue oils and crude oils ZX-P4-04 can be diluted with an aromatic solvent in ratios between 1:1 to 1:4.
Application
Field of application & Dose Rates
Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 is a highly active pour point depressant (PPD), which is effective in a broad range of VGO, HFO and crude oils.
Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 can be injected undiluted and requires heating to 30-40℃ before use. For optimal performance, the temperature of the oil being treated with Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 should be above the wax appearance temperature (WAT) of that oil.
Treatment rates can be vary but for VGO and HFO, a typical does rate of 300-1000ppm is sufficient to reduce the pour point significantly depending on the oil properties.
For crude oils, a typical treatment rates can vary between 50-200 ppm of Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04, depending on the composition and characteristics of the oil being treated.
In addition to lowering the pour point, Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 can also help lower the viscosity and yield stress of crude oils, HFO and VGO. This can be particularly advantageous when trying to achieve a pipeline specification.

Packaging & Storage
Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 is available in steel drums (200L) or ISO-tanker packaging.
When stored in the original closed packaging and protected from environmental effects Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 can be stored for the shelf life of two years.

The compatibility of Pour Point Depressant/PPD ZX-P4-04 with metals, plastics and elastomers has been evaluated based on the typical behavior of the solvent it is dissolved in.
